Retiqmera is an interdisciplinary photographic studio founded upon the convergence of scientific inquiry and artistic intelligence. Its practice brings together physics, perception, semiotics, visual design, and fine art within the methodology of Revelatory Aesthetic Photography™. Rather than imposing an aesthetic upon the subject, the studio seeks to identify the aesthetic structure of beauty already latent within it and to create the stage upon which its beauty can most fully emerge.

Rooted in a distinguished scientific lineage and shaped by more than four decades behind the lens, Fari brings the precision of theoretical science into dialogue with the interpretive depth of hermeneutic philosophy. As a research scientist, inventor, lecturer, and curator working across science, philosophy, and arts, his inquiry spans quantum physics, computer science, and artificial intelligence. Central to his photographic practice is an advanced understanding of the physics of light – from geometrical optics and electromagnetic wave theory to the quantum behavior of photons and their interaction with matter.
His scientific perspective is complemented by years of lecturing and curatorial work in arts, aesthetics, and philosophy, ranging from Riemannian hyperspace geometry and Cubism, to Wagnerian Fourth Wall, origins of tragedy, and emergence of complexity from elementary structures.
His long-standing research in quantum neuromorphic artificial intelligence extends his scientific view from light to the brain, encompassing neural dynamics, visual perception, and the cognitive processes through which physical stimuli transcend into intelligible and meaningful exprience.
Fari’s photographic thought thus traces a continuum from physical light through perception and cognition to semiotics, semantics, and meaning, exploring their entanglement within a unified field of artistic creation. His conception of Revelatory Aesthetic Photography™ translates this continuum into an asymmetrical, bidirectional methodology: Analytically from the perceptible manifestation of beauty toward its immanent principles; synthetically from those core principles back toward perceptible form. As a professional painter, graphic designer, and visual artist, Mahshid defines the artistic and synthetic direction of the photographic process. Drawing upon decades of practice across fine art, visual composition, and design, she approaches the image as an integrated field in which form, color, space, material, atmosphere, and meaning converge. Her artistic work, presented in exhibitions and developed across disciplines ranging from naturalistic painting and industrial design to abstract-surrealist imagery, reflects a sustained inquiry into the capacity of visual form to translate philosophical ideas into perceptible and affective experience.
While her naturalistic work has cultivated a precise sensitivity to anatomy, proportion, light, materiality, and the subtleties of visible appearance, her abstract and surrealist painting explores how complex philosophical and mythic concepts can be transformed into visual structures, symbolic relations, and semantic associations.
Within Revelatory Aesthetic Photography™, Mahshid’s work particularly informs the synthesis of light, chromaticity, gesture, material, spatial relations, semiotic elements, and atmosphere shaping the aesthetic and semantic integrity of the image.
