Weaving Light, Science, Design, and Classical Artistry
Meet the visionaries who blend art and science to create timeless imagery.

Dr. Fariborz Derakhshan
Photographer
A portrait is not the image of a person, but the revelation of his/her character.
Grounded in advanced scientific inquiry and decades of photographic practice, Fari’s work unites a deep understanding of light, perception, and cognition with a rigorous engagement with art and philosophy. Drawing on expertise in quantum physics, computational intelligence, and visual semiotics, his photographic imagery is conceived as an act of revelation — making visible the subtle forces, structures, and inner dispositions that shape individual presence beyond mere appearance.
He is a senior research scientist and inventor with multiple academic degrees in quantum electrodynamics, nuclear physics, and computer science. His professional work encompasses the development of advanced quantum neuromorphic artificial intelligence, alongside a sustained engagement with photography, philosophy, aesthetics, and cognitive science. In his photographic practice, meaning is not merely depicted but allowed to emerge through the disciplined orchestration of visual signs: Light, color, form, and spatial structure are calibrated across their full physical and perceptual spectrum, informed by theories of composition and semiotics. Through this precise modulation of photographic techniques, the image is enabled to transcend immediate appearance and articulate layers of meaning that lie beyond the visible.

Mahshid Shoorangiz
Creative Designer
Mahshid is an established professional painter and graphic designer whose work plays a central role in the artistic direction of the photographic process. With extensive experience in fine art practice and a background as a college docent in the arts, she brings a rigorous conceptual sensibility to the development of visual settings, compositional intent, and chromatic structure prior to image capture. Her work has been exhibited widely in gallery contexts, reflecting a sustained engagement with contemporary artistic discourse. In post-production, her expert domain knowledge of print technology and material processes ensures tonal accuracy, chromatic fidelity, and coherence across both digital and physical outputs. Through this integrated approach, she shapes a distinctive visual language in which artistic intention, material precision, and conceptual clarity converge.
Explore the Essence of Light and Shadow
At Retiqmera, our mission is to craft visual narratives blending light physics, design semiotics, and Renaissance aesthetics. We cherish depth, contemplation, and timeless artistry as the foundation of our studio’s identity and aspirations.
